This Privacy Policy explains how Jawaad Trading Academy (OPC) Private Limited (“JTA”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit jawaadtradingacademy.com, fill in one of our forms, or contact us. We have tried to keep it short and in plain English. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) and other applicable Indian law.

1. Who we are

Jawaad Trading Academy (OPC) Private Limited, The Hive, Anna Nagar West, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Phone: 089390 20786. Email: jawaadtradingacademy@gmail.com. Under the DPDP Act we are the “Data Fiduciary” for the personal data described here.

2. What we collect

  • Details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, city, how you heard about us, your trading experience and any message you type into our enquiry, waitlist or contact forms.
  • Messages: if you call us, email us or message us on WhatsApp, we keep the conversation and your phone number or email so we can reply.
  • Website usage data: your IP address, browser and device type, pages you visit, the page that sent you to us, and similar technical information collected through cookies and analytics tools (see section 5).
  • Student information: if you join a programme, we also keep enrolment, attendance, evaluation and payment records. Payments are handled by our payment providers; we do not store your full card or bank details.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as health data, and we do not knowingly collect data from children (see section 9).

3. Why we use your data

  • To reply to your enquiry and tell you about our programmes, batches and seat availability.
  • To review waitlist applications and enrol students.
  • To run our classes, evaluations and student community.
  • To send updates or offers by phone, email or WhatsApp, only where you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.
  • To understand how people use our website and to measure our advertising, so we can improve both.
  • To keep our website secure, prevent misuse, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We process your data on the basis of your consent (for example when you submit a form or accept cookies) or for the other lawful uses allowed by the DPDP Act, such as complying with the law. We never sell your personal data.

4. Website forms

When you submit a form on our website, the details are stored securely on our website server and sent to our team by email. They may also be passed to the customer-relationship (CRM) tool we use to manage enquiries. Only staff who need the information to help you can see it.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising tools

Cookies are small files saved in your browser. We use them to make the website work, to remember your choices, and to understand and improve our marketing. We use these third-party tools:

  • Google Tag Manager: loads our analytics and advertising tags on the website.
  • Google Analytics and Google Site Kit: tell us, in aggregate, how many people visit, which pages they view and where they come from. Site Kit shows this information inside our website dashboard.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): helps us measure the results of our Meta ads and show relevant ads to people who have visited our website.
  • Embedded content such as YouTube videos may set its own cookies when you play it.

These providers may process data on servers outside India under their own privacy policies: Google and Meta. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.

6. WhatsApp and phone contact

If you message us on WhatsApp (+91 89390 20786), your number, name and messages are processed by WhatsApp (owned by Meta) under WhatsApp’s privacy policy, as well as by us. We use WhatsApp only to answer your questions and, if you are a student, to share class updates. Reply “STOP” at any time to stop non-essential messages.

7. Who we share data with

We share personal data only when needed, with:

  • service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting, email delivery, CRM, analytics, advertising, communication and payment providers. They may use the data only to provide their service to us;
  • professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where necessary;
  • government or law-enforcement authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers store data outside India. Where that happens, we rely on transfers that the DPDP Act and the Government of India permit.

8. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries and waitlist forms: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a student or ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Student records: for as long as you are enrolled and then up to 3 years, so we can support alumni and handle any queries.
  • Invoices and payment records: for the period required by Indian tax and company law (generally 8 years).
  • Analytics data: kept by Google and Meta for the periods set in our accounts (for Google Analytics, no more than 14 months).

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

9. Children

Our website and programmes are meant for adults (18 and over). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.

10. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

  • get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • ask us to correct, complete or update your data;
  • ask us to erase your data when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it;
  • withdraw your consent at any time. This will not affect anything we did before you withdrew it, but we may no longer be able to provide some services;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity; and

To use any of these rights, email jawaadtradingacademy@gmail.com or call 089390 20786. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days.

11. How we protect your data

We use reasonable security measures, including HTTPS encryption on our website, access controls, and trusted hosting and service providers. No system is completely secure, but if a data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
